I have always been curious and this has pushed me to experiment with painting on different materials (porcelain, fabric, wood and mar-ble) and with different techniques.
Subsequently a favourite pastime of mine was to exchange the acquired techniques among them, as I was always astonished by the results.
The curiosity, the astonish-ment and the desire to do new things was reflected in the artwork and I have always had a good response from the general public… to my great astonishment.
Of course, if I had been miraculously healed and had acquired a certain dexterity even just from one hand, I would ha-ve been “curious” about painting with my hands…. Surely I would ha-ve tried to modernise this traditional method.

That day we discussed… “But why do you insist on painting with the traditional “style”, with golden decoration, since you are an artist, porcelain decorator that created a own style? In my opinion is a step backward!” Tina: “everybody said that I can’t do it, and I want to try it…”.
You started with this porcelain tureen and you chose to paint little bunches of “Non ti scordar di me” flower, the name of the flower says it all, you use a nib with colour, sugar and water for the sign, and then take porcelain colour, and blend it to give movement to every single petal, the Lavanda to make the brushstroke soft and dab between petals, to give depth to each flower, petal after petal…putting on and taking off color, so 24 hours passed. You didn’t eat, because you thought that the flower wouldn’t be the same if you put the hand off, so you risked to do different tureens…evening came and you left the gold decoration to the next day and put down the brush. I looked at you and you seemed very tired.
